I use FreshRSS to subscribe to websites and get notified about new articles on websites I care about. Sometimes websites are deleted, or the RSS/Atom feeds are moved to a new URL, and I stop getting new articles from there.
FreshRSS already showed a small red exclamation icon next to the feed title:
⚠ This feed has encountered a problem. If this situation persists, please verify that it is still reachable.
This did of course help, but it did not tell you since when a feed had been broken - which is important to assess if it's a temporary or a permanent problem.
I wanted to solve this and built a new feature for FreshRSS that got merged and released with version 1.29.0 end of May this year.
