Fun with gphoto

After reading on the gPhoto homepage that gphoto supports remote image capturing I had to try it out. What a blaze! gPhoto can do things I never thought it could!

At first, there is an ncurses bases configuration frontend for your cam! I could change all the settings that are available on the camera itself, e.g. activating or deactivating the flash. Just run gphoto2 --config! The settings are changeable with --list-config, --get-config and --set-config.

The one that interested me was capturing an image remotely. Nothing easier than that: gphoto2 --capture-image-and-download. A big "wheee!" to the gphoto devs for that!
